A Public Health Nurse is available to visit Medicaid eligible mothers and newborns in the home environment. Somewhere between 2-4 weeks postpartum, the nurse attempts to do a physical assessment of mom and baby.
The nurse is also available to visit high-risk families who are not eligible for Medicaid if medical provider or clinic makes a referral.
